The cutting board is supplied unfinished with mineral oil, which should be applied before use with paper towels. Spread the oil evenly on one side of the board at a time and allow the wood to absorb it, then wipe with paper towels to remove any excess oil. Repeat on the other side and let air dry. After treating the board, it is normal for the wood to darken in color. Like all wooden products, cutting boards should be kept in contact with water as little as possible. The board can be washed under running water, even with a mild, neutral detergent. After drying, let it stand upright to allow it to dry completely before storing. To maintain the beauty of the wood and reduce the absorption of liquids released by food during use, we recommend regularly treating the board with a mineral oil specifically designed for cutting boards. It is normal for scratches to appear on the surface during use, but these will fade naturally over time. Do not put the product in the dishwasher, oven, or microwave under any circumstances.
